Support Team

Tom OstingTom Osting, Human Resources Manager
With a degree in business and risk management in hand, Tom was hired in 1992 as Facility Manager for a large downtown facility. He supervised a crew of 20 cleaners. When the job of Human Resources Manager opened, Tom brought his education and experience in the field to the staff and now handles all recruiting and HR tasks. He understands and relates well to the needs of both field supervision and cleaning staff.

Tom is a sports fan and follows his favorite teams faithfully. He also enjoys karate, snowboarding, and disc golf. In 2002, Tom and his wife, Susan, celebrated the birth of their first child, Joshua and in 2004 welcomed a daughter, Elizabeth, aka Ellie.

Joe Ruelle, Recruiter, Madison

Jan ConcklinJan Concklin, Administrative Manager
Jan started in 1988 as a part-time Administrative Assistant. Since that time her responsibilities have grown to full-time. In addition to administrative duties, she also serves as Executive Assistant to the President. With her years of experience, she successfully guides both customers and employees to the solutions they need.

Jan and her husband Richard are active in a new church that has started on the west side of Madison. As empty nesters, they are enjoying the flexibility and schedule of their new stage of life!

Tim LangTim Lang, Information Systems Manager
Hired in 1997 as an Area Manager, Tim moved to a new position providing sales, payroll and administrative support. He’s an invaluable team member, since he keeps our computers, our network and our internet up and running! (“I can’t get my email…!) In addition to IT management, he handles a multitude of support responsibilities, including graphics and web design, database development, research, sales, marketing and human resources support.

An avid sailor, hiker and paddler, he is a member of the UW Hoofer Sailing and Outing Clubs, is interested in wooden boatbuilding and would generally rather be out on the water. He’d love to sail around the world some day!

Maria Sierra, Operations Administrator, Madison
Maria’s major duty is to maintain the accuracy all of our employee timekeeping records, so she’s a pretty important person around here! She watches to make sure that the records are complete and accurate. She also has duties in data entry for our Sales Department and Purchasing for the Supplies Department. It’s not easy to keep all those duties straight, but she manages to do just that. In her previous job, she was an administrative assistant, executive assistant and Buyer in the Purchasing Department.

Moving here from Chicago in November 2007, Maria appreciates Madison for its beauty and – yes – less traffic. It’s large enough to be city, but small enough to have a slower pace. Her family is just a “short” two hours away and she and her daughter see them as often as possible.

Given a day to herself, she’d love to pamper herself with all those things that life doesn’t seem to have time for: everything from a manicure to a movie and dinner with her daughter. Her dream is to one day take a cruise with her daughter to someplace exotic.

Patti Wheeler, Operations Administrator in Training

Jo Turner, Project Assistant
Jo Turner’s first day on the job was the first working day of 2006!  Stepping into the newly created position of Operations Administrator, she came to EC straight from a 16 year tenure at Lands End. Jo left in 2008 after her husband, Ed, retired, but she was glad to come back in 2011 on a part-time basis as a project assistant. An accomplished quilter, she’s finished a quilt sampler, using Proverbs 31 from the Bible as the theme.  You may even have seen it at quilt shows!  She & her husband have a recumbent bike and often enjoy a Saturday bike ride and picnic.

Cassandra Lemke

Cassandra Lemke, Operations Administrator, Fox Valley
Joining our team in November 2009, Cassandra had worked for 10 years at a staffing agency, so we knew that she had the experience for recruiting. She’ll tell you that the best part of her job with EC is the satisfaction that she gets when she can make a good match between the applicant and the job. Some employees have even come back and expressed their appreciation for a job they love!

In her spare time, she has volunteered at a local Animal Shelter for the past 12 years. It began with a casual conversation on a “Walk for Kindness” and now she regularly helps with the cats. She loves cats so much that she has two of her own: a Maine Coon Cat and a calico cat. She loves to read everything from fiction to geography, which of course fuels her passion for traveling. The most fun she’s ever had was a trip several years ago to Europe with her husband. Next stop: Italy!
